Design loops for agent workflows: turn-based vs autonomous
Four kinds of loop. Turn-based: one prompt drives the next step. Continuous: the run keeps going until stop criteria…
Chrome extension Local-first By Lingyi Labs
Noya turns what you already saved on X — and optionally Reddit — into a calm place to finish it: one Today’s read on every new tab, a focused Reader with Highlight and Done, and portable Export. Every card shows where it came from. Everything stays on your device. No Noya account.

The problem
You save threads you’ll “read later.” Later never comes. X buries them under a feed designed for the next post — not for finishing the last one you cared about.
Saving is easy. Returning is hard. That’s not a willpower problem — it’s a design problem.
Today’s read
Noya can replace your new tab with a calm ambient home: clock, optional handoff to Grok, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Google, and a single Today’s read drawn from bookmarks you haven’t finished — not the feed, and not a dump of everything you ever saved.
Default new tab. Opt out anytime in Settings; open Noya from the toolbar.
I used to ship once a year. Then I forced a 6-week cycle…
Reader + Highlight
Open a save in a calm paper reader: full threads, media, select-text Highlight, then Done. Stay out of the feed long enough to actually finish. Export a zip, open on X, or hand off when you need to.
Highlights stay on this device. Reading display: theme, type size, paper width.
I used to ship once a year. Then I forced a 6-week cycle and shipping became non-negotiable.

3/ · Distribution beat polish…
Done
Done is local: the save leaves Today’s read and your Reading list, and does not come back after a quiet refresh. It does not remove the bookmark on X — that stays optional and explicit if you ever want it.
Primary action on the Reader rail — keyboard D.
Open bookmarks only. Done takes one off this list — still bookmarked on X.
Export
From the Reader, Export one save as a zip
(save.md + media within limits. From Settings,
export or import a full backup of your local data. Upload
elsewhere yourself — Noya does not OAuth into other apps.
Portable by design. Independent of Done.
On your device
No Noya cloud in 1.0 — by design.
Local-first
Saves, reading state, and highlights live in this browser profile. Noya talks to X only to mirror the bookmarks you already saved (and only when you unbookmark, if you choose). Read the permissions on our privacy page.
Privacy you can explain in one sentence.
Trust
Add the Chrome extension. No signup. No setup wizard.
X bookmarks by default. Optional Reddit saved in Settings. Stay signed in in the same profile — saves land in a local reading pool, never a second collect.
Open Today’s read. Highlight what matters. Done — without the feed.
No second “save to Noya” step. The product starts from your X bookmarks and a local reading pool.
New tab shows Today’s read — not a second graveyard of every bookmark.
Finished saves leave recommendations and do not quietly return after a quiet refresh.
Coming next
X bookmarks are on by default. Reddit saved is optional — enable it under Sources when you want it. Next on the default roadmap: Bluesky bookmarks. We won’t list other platforms as features until they ship.
No. 1.0 is local-first with optional backup export/import. No Noya signup.
By default, yes — so Today’s read stays visible. Turn that off in Settings and open Noya from the toolbar icon anytime.
An optional handoff: send free text (and images, where supported) to Grok, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Google. It is not search of your local saves, and not an in-extension chat.
Your saves and highlights are stored on your device in 1.0. See Privacy for permissions and session details (X, optional Reddit).
No. Done is local only. Removing the bookmark on X is a separate, explicit action if you want it. Reddit has the same pattern: Unsave is optional.
Export downloads one save as a zip from the Reader. Backup exports or imports your full local collection (JSON) from Settings.
Reddit saved is available as an opt-in source in Settings (off by default). Bluesky is next on the roadmap — we won’t list it as live until it ships.
Noya is inspired by the same job — help you read what you already saved — with its own reading pool, Done semantics, and design system. Independent product from Lingyi Labs.
Your bookmarks are waiting. Put them somewhere you’ll actually open.
